Data feature packsEdit

600 mb for 15 euros

300 mb for 10 euros

100 mb for 5 euros

25 mb for 1.25 Euro per week (good option if you come for vacation)

If you have an iPhone, you can get a special tariff, with which you get 500MB for free. It's called the 'Vita Total iPhone' plan. Ask in the shop to enable it. You might be able to get it without having an iPhone, as they didn't ask for any verification. The plan needs a monthyl top-up of €20 to keep active, but for the initial deposit you can just do for €5. So, for €5, you'll get a SIM-card, 500MB free and, including an initial free €2,50, €7,50 on the card (which will get you another ~100MB). This is probably the best deal available. If you run out of data, you can just get a new card in the shop, as you don't need to register with your name or anything. See this page: https://loja.vodafone.pt/tarifarios/vitaminas/vita_total_iphone_detalhe.htm

New information, 6 Feb 2011: The Vita Total Smartphone plan has changed somewhat. Looks like you get 500 MB no matter what i.e. you don't get more MB for more money. However, more money does get you more time, e.g. €7.50 for 12 days, €10 for 15 days, €15 for 23 days. Full details here: https://loja.vodafone.pt/tarifarios/vitaminas/vita-total-smartphone

  • hi, in reference to the post below, 'Update January 2012 (For only data cards:) Vita Net light: 10€ with 10 hours included valid for 90 days (don´t like this tariff, time flies, the Pro: Unlimited traffic)' my question is what is 'the Pro: Unlimited traffic'?? is this also a sim card data package with the company called vita?? is it something separate?

    thank you.

  • Update January 2012 (For only data cards:) Vita Net light: 10€ with 10 hours included valid for 90 days (don´t like this tariff, time flies, the Pro: Unlimited traffic). Vita net Plus: 10€ with 720MB valid for 24 days (Officially, because I had purchased a card on which put 10€ and last for 4 months, time unlimited during the subscription). When you connect and disconnect you have an SMS with the remaining credit. If You are in Lisbon I recommend you purchase in the Vodafone headquarters (Vodafone action Store, Metro and train station Oriente), on which you have all the services and replies to your questions. And any changes (such as tariff) are processed right in the moment) More info in http://www.vodafone.pt/main/Particulares/BandaLargaMovel/blm_recarregavel/blm_recarregavel_tarifario.htm

  • And now the best people: Vodafone travel is the same as Vodafone passport. However the best of this is that you can use 25MB for 2€ valid till the Portuguese midnight on any Vodafone operator in Europe, Australia and New Zeland (And partners listed here: http://www.vodafone.pt/main/Particulares/Roaming/Tarifarios/disponivel.htm)

Or You can choose the 10€ version valid for 30 days and with 150MB. (Attention that if you pass the 150MB, You will pay 1,045€per MB until the end of th 30 days) This is valid for voice tariff.

For only data cards you have by default 8€ valid for 24hours and with 100MB or (The best data plan so far) 15 Euro valid for 30 days with 500MB. For subscribe any of this send an SMS to 16910 from the USB stick with the message "Travel Diaria" (for 24hour) or "Travel Mensal" (for the 30 day option). This is valid specially for the prepaid ones. (Info here: http://www.vodafone.pt/main/Particulares/Roaming/Tarifarios/Roaming-dados-banda-larga.htm?tab=travel)

Use chrome if you need translation.

  • Hey, that post leaves me feeling fooilsh. Kudos to you!

  • Yes, it works as described here. You may be asked to actually show the iPhone.

  • I just returned from Madeira where I got a Vodafone PrePay SIM with 2.5 euros with 2.5 euros credit.
