  • i have an iPhone 3g and i wanna use the internet even without wifi.. how is it possible?? who can help me please email me at kristine_callos2000@yahoo.com thank u so much

  • My unlocked iPhone 3 worked as expected throughout the Philippines. I used a Globe sim with pay-as-you-go, but this was very expensive. I recommend purchasing one of the data packs which would be more economical.

  • Will I phone 4 work there on pre paid and all maps net ect on phone

    • Yes as long as the iPhone is not locked to a single carrier.

    • Just returned from the philippines. My unlocked iPhone 4 worked well with a Globe SIM (P40) and their data packages. P220 for 5 days unlimited "3G" service. Text SUPERSURF220 to 8888. Their "3G" service is very slow however, at least on the island of Panay. I think I had to enter something in the APN settings, I can't remember what but I found it by googling. Had to cut the full size SIM to microSIM size with scissors.

Smart SIM also worked (P40) but they didn't seem to have an all-u-can eat data package like Globe so I went thru my prepaid load quickly. APN settings were also found by googling.

      Also had to cut SIM

Local calling & text rates were very cheap on both. International voice & text rates were much cheaper than my home carrier, Rogers($) Canada. On either carrier you can buy prepaid load cards in denominations of P100, 200, 300, 500.

      good luck.
